Conor McGregor’s four punch combination knockout of Eddie Alvarez to claim his second UFC title last month in New York has been nominated as one of four candidates for UFC Knockout of the Year.

McGregor’s second round finish of the then Lightweight champion wrote the Irishman’s name large in the annals of combat sports history, as he became the first fighter in UFC history to hold two belts simultaneously — and achieved with a stunning knockout in the grandest stage of all, Madison Square Garden.

Joining McGregor on the nominees list is Stipe Miocic’s finish of Fabricio Werdum to claim the UFC Heavyweight title in May, as well as Paige VanZant’s incredible switch kick KO of Bec Rawlings at UFC on Fox 21.

The final nominee is Jimi Manuwa’s one punch starching of Ovince St. Preux at UFC 204 last October.
