Shane Carwin is back.
After a period of negotiations with various promotions, the former UFC interim heavyweight champion will be making his return to mixed martial arts with Japanese organisation Rizin.
The news was announced during a press conference.

Carwin will be making his debut with the promotion in their end of year “Grand Prix”, which is an openweight tournament — a throw back to the Pride days of old.
Other notable fighters in the tournament include Mirko CroCop and Wanderlei Silva who are already set to face each other after CroCop publically challenged his old rival earlier this year.
The other match ups will be determined through a vote.
