If next weekend’s UFC 205 main event could be the beginning a new era in the UFC’s lightweight division, Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night from Mexico City could establish whoever is next in line.
Former 155 pound champion Rafael Dos Anjos takes on surging contender Tony Ferguson in the main event in Mexico City, where RDA will be looking to recover from losing the title to Eddie Alvarez earlier this year at the expense of the division’s longest unbeaten streak in Tony Ferguson.
Elsewhere on the card Diego Sanchez, one of the longest serving fighters in the UFC, will take on of their newest recruits in Polish grappler Marcin Held and Ricardo Lamas faces Charles Oliveira (who missed weight be almost 10 pounds on Friday).
