With all the red tape out of the way, UFC 202 inches closer to being upon us.
Under new regulations, official weigh-ins now take place earlier in the morning, with fighters able to hit the scales from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. local time. While the strict timekeeping means some fighters find themselves rushing to the venue and the scales or risk missing the two hour time period, the new process appears to have more benefits than negatives. Fighters are now able to rehydrate from much earlier on in the day, allowing them more time to get fluids back into their bodies.
As for UFC 202, all fighters made weight in time. With headliner Nate Diaz coming in at 170.5lbs, and Conor McGregor matching his weight at UFC 196, weighing at 168lbs.
