UFC boss Dana White has acknowledged that an incident involving Namo Fazil took place behind the scenes during Dana White’s Contender Series fight week, but declined to disclose details of what happened.

Fazil alleged last week that he was confronted by a group of Chechens while preparing for his Contender Series bout against Kaik Brito. Fazil said the incident disrupted his weight cut and developed into a physical altercation that ultimately drew police attention.

“You guys have no idea how much sh*t goes on in this business behind the scenes and I said at the press conference that we had kind of a weird week here,” said White to reporters, including The Mac Life, after being asked about the incident at the UFC Sacramento post-fight press conference.

White was also questioned on whether UFC fighter Baisangur Susurkaev would face any consequences after Susurkaev hinted at his involvement in the incident. “I didn’t even talk about it,” said White. “You guys wouldn’t even know if he didn’t talk about it. We handled it behind the scenes and that’s the business we’re in. Lots of crazy sh*t happens every day in this business.”

White did not indicate whether any further action would be taken over the incident, maintaining that the promotion had dealt with the matter privately.

Fazil went on to face Brito in their Contender Series bout, suffering a knockout defeat.
