Brandon Moreno apparently isn’t letting his recent flyweight title defeat to Alexandre Pantoja get him down.
Despite suffering a broken hand in the UFC 290 clash, the now two-time former UFC 125-pound champion showed up at the Lucha Libre AAA TripleMania XXXI in his native Mexico this past weekend, where he took part in an eight-man tag team match — and at one point, displayed a spinning back kick into a flying knee and armbar combo before the move was ended by one of his opponent’s partners.
The appearance shows Moreno’s still-growing fame in his native country, where his profile has risen immeasurably since become the first Mexican-born champion in the history of the UFC.
