Jorge Masvidal has shared his gratitude towards fans after apparently receiving support during his recent disagreement with the UFC.
Masvidal and the promotion are at odds with how much the welterweight contender should be paid now he’s become one of the sports bigger names, and as a result, Masvidal will no longer meet 170-pound champion Kamaru Usman but rather watch as Gilbert Burns fights for the title instead.
Despite that turn of events, Masvidal took to his social media Thursday to tell his fans he appreciated the amount of them who have his back.
“Thank you for the overwhelming amount of love that I have received for the stance I have taken with my employer,” Masvidal wrote. “From the blue collar worker to the street hustlers to the rich kids and everything in between thank you so much for your words of encouragement and God bless.
“With all the craziness in the world for you to take the time to write me to keep moving forward with my cause motivates me even more.”
