Welcome to the world, Conor McGregor Jr.
The UFC lightweight champion and his longtime girlfriend Dee Devlin became parents on Friday night, with McGregor himself confirming the news on Instagram this morning.
“Dee and Junior are doing great everyone!” McGregor said in an Instagram post. “Thank you for all the kind words, I am one proud and blessed Daddy.”
Tony McGregor, Conor’s father (and Conor Jr.’s grandfather) told The Irish Mirror that the entire family were thrilled, and that everyone was healthy and happy.
“Baby Conor Jack McGregor was delivered [Friday] at 8pm in the Coombe Hospital. He came in at eight pounds 14 ounces. The whole family are absolutely delighted.
“We’ve experienced this recently with our eldest daughter and there’s no better feeling in the world than being a grandparent. The parents are absolutely over the moon and everyone is healthy.”
And of course, if there were any doubts as to the young lad’s future, it looks like he might turn out to be a fighting Irishman just like his old man.
