At the end of the day, Nate Diaz looks to be simply uninterested into a return to mixed martial arts.
The Stockton native has made headlines a few times over the past couple of weeks, after UFC president Dana White and UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley laid accusations that Diaz had priced himself out of a title fight.
According to White, Diaz has turned down every contest offered to him under the terms of his contract. Today, the notoriously quiet Diaz took to Twitter to make his own assertion: he’s been offered fights, he’s just not interested in MMA.
Ufc offered me title fight in any weight class Im kool though I'll givem a shot when they do something good
On to the next sport for now 🥊🥊— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) December 9, 2017
The Tweet also contains a hint to Diaz’ future aspirations, with two boxing gloves emoji and a pledge to move on to a new sport.
Whether or not that could happen is unknown, as one would assume his current contract prohibits competition outside of the UFC cage.
…but then again, isn’t Dana White about to get into boxing?
