It seems that the spring cleaning has begun in earnest at UFC headquarters.

A number of fighters have been removed from the UFC active roster on the promotion’s official website, ranging from recent retirees to others who are out of contract and/or released from their contracts.

The changes were made on Friday evening and include some high profile names such as Brock Lesnar, whose return and subsequent suspension incurred at UFC 200 appears to be his last move with the company — for the time being, at least. Other names removed include recent retirees Aisling Daly, Tim Kennedy and Sean O’Connell. Some of the more intriguing names to be removed include Japanese veteran Takeya Mizugaki as well as Lorenz Larkin and Rick Story, both of whom were out of contract. Larkin (and you would expect Story too) has been subject to interest from Scott Coker and Bellator.

Taylor Lapilus and Erik Perez, both coming off wins, appear to have failed to make the cut also.

Cole Miller, a fighter who had gone on record about his dissatisfaction with the UFC, is another whose details have been removed from the organisation’s website.
