Injury has robbed UFC 205 of one of its more interesting match-ups.
The event will go ahead without the planned Rashad Evans vs. Tim Kennedy bout which was scheduled for the event’s undercard, it was confirmed by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto on Twitter in recent minutes.
With Dana White right now, tells me Evans/Kennedy is off due to an issue with Evans's medicals. More info to come.

Evans, a former light heavyweight champion, was making his debut appearance in the middleweight division against the 12th ranked fighter in the division. Kennedy, for his part, was making his return to the UFC having not fought since the UFC 178 bout he dropped in controversial circumstances to Yoel Romero in September 2014.
Neither the extent of Evans’ injury, or if the UFC are attempting to find a replacement for him, are yet known.
We will update this story once we have more information.
