Conor McGregor certainly hasn’t been shy on social media lately.

The Dubliner has taken to Twitter on several occasions in recent weeks to announce his thoughts on various fights in the UFC tweeting congratulations to, among others, the two fighters in last weekend’s UFC 236 main event — but it isn’t just the fight world which has McGregor’s attention, as he has noted his appreciation of a knockout blow delivered in another sport entirely.

Congrats @ovi8! A Proper Russian,” McGregor said, referencing his Proper No. Twelve whiskey brand. Great to meet you in Moscow big man, see you again soon! They can run, but they can’t hide.”

McGergor has been a fixture on the US sports scene recently. He was pictured as a guest of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones last season and, more recently, was invited to deliver a motivational speech to NHL side Boston Bruins ahead of a game in March.
