As Jon Anik would say, just one more sleep.

After a show in the Apex last weekend, the UFC kicks off its 2025 calendar with a bang on Saturday night in Inglewood, California with a fight card featuring two title tilts and a whole lot of intrigue with some fascinating matchups on tap that could define the summits of several different weight categories.

In the main event, Islam Machachev fights top contender Arman Tsarukyan for a second time — but this time with 155-pound gold on the line. In the co-main, the recently-crowned new champion Merab Dvalishvili will fight Umar Nurmagomedov in what is fast become a grudge match between the two 135-pound rivals.

Meanwhile, former light heavyweight champions Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill will clash in a fight that could establish a future title contender for Alex Pereira’s 205-pound belt, while Beneil Dariush returns to take on the in-form Renato Moicano. The main card will be opened by the always entertaining Kevin Holland taking on the Dutch submission expert Reiner de Ridder.

On Thursday, the featured players gathered on stage to promote the fight as captured by The Mac Life’s cameras — and as you might have expected, it produced some fireworks.
