Saturday night’s UFC 309 is good to go following Friday’s early weigh-ins in New York City.

In the main event, Jon Jones will defend his heavyweight crown against the two-time champion Stipe Miocic and the challenger will bring with him to the cage an 11-pound weight advantage over the former light heavyweight champion. Tom Aspinall, the backup fighter who has been the subject of intense media interest in the Big Apple this week, also tipped the scales 254.8-pounds but it appears unlikely that his services will be required in Madison Square Garden this weekend.

In the co-main event, both Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira successfully made weight — as did everyone on the card, with the exception of James Llontop who missed weight by more than ten pounds for his lightweight battle with Mauricio Ruffy. That fight will not take place under catchweight rules at 165-pounds. Llontop will be fined a percentage of his purse for the indiscretion.
