Leon Edwards has no shortage of potential opponents at welterweight but it seems pretty clear who Tai Tuivasa wants to set ‘Rocky’ up with next.

170-pound champion Edwards is widely expected to rematch Kamaru Usman in the first quarter of next year but following Saturday evening’s UFC 280 card in Abu Dhabi, Belal Muhammad has again put his hand up and claimed his spot among the welterweight division’s top contenders after he became the first man to hand defeat to Sean Brady as he finished the Philadelphia native by strikes in the third round of what was an exciting contest.

So that leaves Muhammad and Khamzat Chimaev as arguably the next men up after Usman and Edwards settle their business in the first quarter of 2023 — but as far as Tuivasa is concerned, he wants Muhammad and Edwards to settle their own business following their March 2021 fight was ended moments into the second round after a accidental eyepoke rendered Muhammad unable to continue.

But will we see them fight again? Definitely, if Tuivasa gets his way.
