It has been nearly three years to the day since we last saw Henry Cejudo in a UFC cage — and as he told UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling in a face-to-face meeting ahead of their UFC 288 main event title fight, he is “ready” to make his comeback.

The two top 135-pound fighters will clash atop the card in Newark, New Jersey late this Saturday night in a fight which will see Cejudo — one of just a handful of ‘champ champ’ fighters to have competed in the UFC — take on champion Aljamain Sterling, a fighter who has been defeated just once in the cage since April 2017.

At his best, Cejudo is regarded as one the best ‘lighter weight’ fighters in the sport’s history but the Olympic wrestler arguably hasn’t faced a fighter with the submission chops of Sterling, who has yet to meet his match in the grappling stakes in his run as champion.

And as you can see by the video below, both men (and particularly Cejudo) seem dialled in ahead of this weekend’s showdown.
