As previously noted, it was something on an underwhelming affair but Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal is back in the win column after scoring a decision win over old rival Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson in the main event of Bellator 175 from the AllState Arena in Rosemount, Illinois on Friday night.

Lawal rebounded from his knockout loss to Mirko CroCop last December, tieing his two-fight series with former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson at one apiece. It remains to be seen if a rubber match will be entertained by either Bellator, Lawal or Jackson, after both of their bouts to date have failed to live up to the pre-fight hype.

In the co-main event Emmanuel Sanchez won a decision victory over Marcos Galvao, while Sergei Kharitonov channeled his inner Mark Hunt with a walk-off one shot KO of Chase Gorlmey with a minute remaining in the first frame.

With Bellator since announcing that Ryan Bader will make his promotional debut against King Mo at their Bellator NYC pay-per-view event later this year following his win over Jackson, and their roster continuing to swell with signings like Bader and Dillon Danis, 2017 is looking to be a very successful year for Bellator MMA.
