A while back, it seemed as though Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones were on a collision course.

The two fighters, both currently champions in their respective divisions, traded several verbal barbs online to tease a prospective clash at light heavyweight, which ultimately never came to pass — but ahead of this week’s UFC 290 in Las Vegas, fans got a sneak peak as to what it would have looked like had two of the most dominant champions in the sport’s history squared off with one another.

It all started when Adesanya posted a brief video to social media showing an unplanned meeting between the two in Sin City — which, incidentally, came just a couple of weeks after Adesanya also ran into longtime rival Alex Pereira in an airport.

But if the initial footage of the Adesanya-Jones meeting looked like it was just a few shared seconds, a video posted to the middleweight champion’s YouTube channel shows that they spent a whole lot more time together.
