Former UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko is on mission for revenge this weekend.

On Saturday night in Las Vegas, Shevchenko will seek to get one back over Alexa Grasso — the woman who last March ended her six-year, ten-fight winning streak, claiming her 125-pound title in the process. It will not be easy task. Grasso, one of the rising stars in women’s MMA, scored her fifth successive victory earlier this year, forcing Shevchenko to submit to a fourth-round face crank submission in what was the first time in her career that she had been conventionally finished inside the cage in her fight career.

Shevchenko, though, is well-known for being the division’s most-feared striker and will look to keep the fight entirely on the feet as she seeks to reclaim her championship gold — a strategy which has proved too much for many of her opponents so far.
