Tom Aspinall certainly doesn’t get paid by the hour.

The Englishman, who makes his return from injury this weekend to headline the UFC’s latest card in London this weekend, has made a career out of scoring first-round finishes — and that’s exactly what he did in September 2021 in Las Vegas, where he dispatched Sergey Spivak with a relentless barrage of strikes on the ground after dropping his opponent with a sharp right hand out of the clinch.

Aspinall will be looking for a repeat of that on Saturday night when he takes on the tough Polish heavyweight Marcin Tybura, the winner of seven of his past eight fights in the UFC cage.

The fight also doubles as Aspinall’s return from a serious knee injury suffered almost exactly a year ago in the opening seconds of another headline fight on a London card against Curtis Blaydes — and if he can roll off another quick win in the English capital, you can be sure that talk of a potential title fight will amplify.
