Tom Aspinall is the new breed of UFC heavyweight.

Firstly, the Brit represents something of a rarity in the UFC’s heavyweight division — a top contender who has yet to hit his 30th birthday. Aside from that, Aspinall is as well-rounded as they come in the weight class and is equally adept at striking as he is on the ground.

One suspects he might need both of the those attributes to be at the sharpest this Saturday night when he headlines a UFC London event in his home country for the second time in the span of just a few months against American wrestler Curtis Blaydes: a fighter Aspinall admits is possibly his toughest stylistic matchup in the division.

But before that,  you can check out his first UFC London headline performance below where he scythed through the experienced former Bellator world heavyweight champion Alexander Volkov to underscore his impressive potential as a future world title contender — and if Aspinall can repeat this performance once again under the lights in London, you can be pretty confident that he will be challenging for UFC gold before long.
