There aren’t many fighters on the UFC roster more exciting than Rafael Fiziev.

The 30-year-old, who is 12-2 in his still-developing mixed martial arts career, has earned post-fight bonuses in each of his last six appearances in the Octagon — and it’s a decent bet that his seventh might well come this Saturday night in the UFC Apex outside Las Vegas when he takes on Polish contender Mateusz Gamrot in a fight with lightweight rankings on the line.

Fiziev, a renownded Muay Thai practitioner, is viewed by most as one of the most diverse strikers in the UFC’s 155-pound fold but after coming up short earlier this year in a firefight opposite Justin Gaethje, Fiziev will face a different type of challenge in Gamrot — the former KSW lightweight champion — who brings a high-paced, often grappling-heavy approach with him to the cage.

Fiziev, as ever, will likely rely on his striking skills to keep Gamrot at bay, just as he did in his most recent win in the cage against former champion Rafael Dos Anjos in July 2022, which you can check out below:
