Is Paddy Pimblett an overlooked threat at 155-pounds?
In a sense, the former Cage Warriors champion has been vocally overlooked by several of his opponents inside the UFC cage since his debut in September 2021 — a hangover, perhaps, from what the Liverpool man who later admit as a less than stellar performance against Jared Gordon in late 2022.
Since then, though, Pimblett has reeled off the two biggest wins of his career — first against Tony Ferguson and then, in his most recent outing, against King Green last July.
Pimblett takes on another stern test at UFC 314 this weekend in Miami, Florida where he will tangle with the former Bellator champion Michael Chandler. And with another win — his seventh in the UFC — it might be time to recognise ‘The Baddy’ as a legit contender at 155-pounds.
