Mateusz ‘Gamer’ Gamrot is one to watch in the UFC lightweight fold.

The Polish former KSW lightweight champion has drawn a tough assignment in the UFC’s latest event in its Apex facility outside of Las Vegas where he will take on the always tough Rafael Fiziev, who will himself be looking to get back into the win column after dropping a decision to Justin Gaethje in a Fight of the Night performance in March.

It will be easier said than done. Gamrot is something of a rare breed for European MMA: a dominant grappler, who is capable of winning fights in a variety of different ways. This was especially apparent when Gamrot snuck past another excellent lightweight fighter, Arman Tsarukyan, in June of last year in Las Vegas.
