Next weekend at UFC 211 in Dallas, Jessica Andrade will attempt to do what what no one before her has been able to achieve: defeat UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk.
The 16-5 Brazilian fighter enters the championship bout on the back of wins against Angela Hill, Joanne Calderwood and Jessica Penne but in the Pole, she will face unquestionably the toughest challenge of her mixed martial arts career to date.
Andrade is a threat wherever the fight takes place, having registered five knockouts and seven submissions across her 21 bout career so far but Jędrzejczyk’s laser-precise striking and seemingly inexhaustible gas tank will test the Brazilian’s resolve to the limit.
Check out Andrade’s slick first round submission of Joanne Calderwood at UFC 203 last year below for evidence of what is perhaps her best course to victory next weekend.
