Diego Lopes is one to watch in the UFC’s featherweight division.

The Brazilian-born fighter, who competes out of Puebla, Mexico, has been on a roll recently in the 145-pound fold, winning six of his past seven en route to what will be a high profile showdown in a featured bout on the UFC Noche card next month in the Las Vegas Sphere against Brian Ortega.

Lopes was initially expected to face Ortega in June’s UFC 303 before illness forced Ortega’s late withdrawal. He was replaced on the card on just a couple of hours’ notice by the very game Dan Ige who have his best effort en route to what ended up being a decision win for Lopes.
