The loss of Stipe Miocic’s UFC heavyweight title is, by some distance, the second most notable event in his life recently. The first? The birth of the champion fighter’s third child, Meelah Claire Miocic.
The American fighter, who suffered a first round defeat to Daniel Cormier at UFC 226 earlier this month, and his wife gave birth to his daughter on July 25th and even persuaded Octagon announcer Bruce Buffer to provide the voiceover for the social media announcement.
“Ladies and gentlemen on this very special day, July 25th 2018, a very special baby was born at 1.50pm,” Buffer can be heard saying. “Standing 21 inches tall, weighing in at 8 pounds 9 ounces. Presenting the future champion of the world Meelah Claire Miocic!”
