B.J. Penn’s first outing in the octagon in two and a half years is official.

Penn, along with everyone else who will take to the cage in Phoenix on Sunday night, made weight at Saturday’s official weigh-ins inside the uniquely named Talking Stick Resort Arena in Arizona.

This first weigh-in of 2017 passed off without incident, following a recent trend where numerous fighters missed weight towards the end of the UFC’s calendar year in 2016.

Penn’s opponent, undefeated-in-the-UFC Yair Rodriguez, also hit the scales without a hitch.
