The war of words between UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira and Khamzat Chimaev shows no sign of slowing.

Both fighters have been engaged in a heated war of words in recent weeks, with both claiming the other has refused to fight him — with Chimaev originally chasing a bout at this month’s UFC 282 card, while Pereira wanted a 205-pound showdown in Brazil in January.

While no accord has been struck (as of yet, anyway), Pereira re-issued his challenge to Chimaev by showcasing his grappling acumen in a clip alongside a host of indigenous wrestlers, and showing off some pretty decent takedown defence along the way.

Pereira also nodded towards his rival, writing alongside the video: “Chimaev trying to take me down.”

Not to be outdone, ‘Borz’ shot back by saying, ‘This is your level’ along with a string of laughing emojis.
