As Jon Anik would say, one more sleep.

On Saturday night, one of the most-anticipated cards in the organisation’s history finally kicks off when UFC 300 opens its doors in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for an event laden with some of the biggest names in mixed martial arts.

The card, which features an astounding twelve current or former UFC champions, is to be topped by a 205-pound battle between reigning champion Alex Pereira and the man he replaced at the summit of the division, Jamahal Hill — who was forced to relinquish the title last year after sustaining an achilles injury.

And while the two were more than cordial when they met backstage earlier this week, it is clear that both men have their game faces on now as we inch closer to the event; a factor which was very much evident when the two came face-to-face following Thursday evening’s official pre-fight press conference in Sin City.
