The UFC’s penultimate pay-per-view offering of the year takes place this weekend in Detroit, Michigan, and it will feature the featherweight championship rematch between champion Max Holloway taking on José Aldo, the man from whom he took the title earlier this year.

Also on the card is the heavyweight top contender match-up between Alistair Overeem and Francis Ngannou, the man recently anointed as the “heaviest punching human in the world“.  A win for the Frenchman behemoth should practically guarantee a heavyweight title bout with champion Stipe Miocic who recently confirmed that he is readying himself for an early 2018 return to the cage.

In addition to those two bouts, Eddie Alvarez and the undefeated Justin Gaethje will square off in a pivotal, and much anticipated, lightweight battle which is one of those fights which has all the necessary ingredients to become an instant classic.

UFC 218 takes place on Saturday (December 2nd) at the Little Caesar’s Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Further information can be found here.
