Robert Whittaker is the new UFC interim middleweight champion, having defeated Yoel Romero in the main event of UFC 213.

Whittaker went five rounds with Romero, even coming back from behind on the judges scorecard to earn his victory via unanimous decision. He is now set to meet the official champion, Michael Bisping, later this  year.

And, as you would expect from the brash Brit, he made sure to vocalise his disapproval of the interim belt Whittaker happened to be wearing.
