The characters in Game of Thrones are often forced into hand-to-hand combat, with increasing stakes on the line as the series progresses. And out of all those characters, Podrick Payne has been in the midst of it all, helping out in his role as a faithful squire.
But maybe, as the last season of the hit HBO show approaches, actor Daniel Portman is looking at ways to show writers he’s fit and ready to ditch the squire job and start trading blows with the enemy himself.
After being seen cageside at UFC Glasgow, Portman recently met up with UFC commentator, and former title contender, Dan Hardy to learn a few tricks of the trade.

No word yet on if we’ll see Hardy don the old mohican for a GOT appearance some time in the future.
