There might have been no crowd in attendance, but Charles Oliveira made sure he still put on a show at UFC Brasilia.

Oliveira met Kevin Lee in the main event of the card, which took place behind closed doors due to the coronavirus, and showed why he’s one of the most underrated fighters in the lightweight division.

While Lee and Oliveira went back and forth throughout the first two rounds, it was in the third where Lee attempted to turn things up, only to get caught in a guillotine which forced the tap. With the finish, there was a moment of confusion as Lee told the referee he didn’t tap and attempted to continue fighting after the separation, but replays showed the finish was correctly called.

With the win, Oliveira has seven wins in a row to his name, and as such told the upcoming title fight Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson he’d be in attendance for their bout.

“Tony Ferguson and Khabib. I’ll be sitting in the front row for that fight. There’s nowhere else to go. I will be champion,” he said, speaking on the mic post-fight.
