The UFC’s annual first quarter visit to London is once again official, with the organisation announcing today that they will hold an event in the English capital on March 16th next.

News of the event was released by the UFC’s social media team this afternoon. The event will come almost a year to the day since the promotion’s last event in London, which was headlined by Alexander Volkov’s victory against Fabricio Werdum.

The UFC have held events in London around the same time of year in four of the last five years.

No details have yet been announced as to who will be matched in the main event, though it is likely that a host of UK & European-based fighters will be on the card. Darren Till, the number two ranked welterweight in the world, must be considered a strong candidate to headline the card.

Recently, the newly-signed Ben Askren has been campaigning for a bout with the 17-1-1 Brit but it remains to be seen which direction the UFC and Till’s management team will take the fighter.

Others who will likely be considered for a place on the card include Leon Edwards, Chris Fishgold, Marc Diakese, Jimi Manuwa, Joanne Calderwood and others.
