UFC 254: Keenly anticipated main event official following Friday’s weigh-ins in Abu Dhabi

It is also systems go for Saturday’s UFC 249 card in Abu Dhabi.

We have ourselves a world title fight.

Following this morning’s weigh-ins on ‘Fight Island’, both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje hit their marks on the scales ahead of the lightweight world title fight on Saturday evening. Michael Chandler, the backup fighter for the main event, also registered a weight of 155-pounds.

Elsewhere on the card, both Jared Cannonier and Robert Whittaker successfully made weight within the middleweight non-title limit of 186-pounds.

Two fighters missed weight. Alex Oliveira came in at 173-pounds for his welterweight fight with Shavkat Rakhmonov while Joel Alvarez registered 159.5 for his lightweight clash with Alexander Yakovlev.
