Tony Ferguson vs. Nate Diaz sounds about as fun a scrap as you can currently make.

Diaz has re-emerged on the scene since Dustin Poirier’s recent win over Conor McGregor at UFC 257, first of all re-affirming he wants to fight in the UFC welterweight division, and then calling for a contest with Poirier after he felt the Louisana native issued “fighting words.”

While Poirier instead appears more interested in a third fight with McGregor, Diaz is still left with a plethora of names who’d love to trade shots with him in the Octagon.

The latest athlete to put themselves forward? A certain Tony Ferguson.

In a reply to Diaz on social media, Ferguson called out the Stockton star, writing, “All You Do Is Bitch Out. You Don’t Want No Squabbles From A Real Fighter. 170lbs or 155lbs… SitDown. STFU Casual.”

While Diaz has no concrete plans in place for a return, UFC president Dana White confirmed last month they were looking at getting Diaz back in the Octagon, and even said they would ideally like to see him at 155-pounds.
