Could it be time for Vitor Belfort’s legnedary career to come to an end?

The Brazilian legend has one more fight on his UFC contract, and has long mentioned the trial his training has become in the latter stages of his career.

Regardless, according to Globo, whether it’s his last fight or not, Belfort is set to meet Nate Marquardt at UFC 212 in Belfort’s home country of Brazil.

It’s an interesting choice for the UFC. There had been plenty of talks that Belfort would be matched up against old rival Anderson Silva, but it seems “The Spider” shot that opportunity down after feeling he would be unable to improve on his picture perfect knockout from their first contest.

Belfort has had a rough time in the Octagon lately, having lost three in a row, all by knockout.

UFC 212 takes place on June 3, 2017 at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
