Nate Diaz earned a disclosed payday of $250,000 for his contest with Leon Edwards at UFC 263.

While the numbers, which were first obtained by MMAJunkie, might seem as whether Diaz was heavily under-compensated for a man of his star power, it’s worth noting they don’t include discretionary bonuses and pay-per-view points.

Both Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori, who topped the bill, earned more than Diaz on the front end, with the middleweight champion grabbing a $500,000 cheque, while Vettori went home with at least $350,000.

UFC fighter pay is always a sensitive topic, especially since reliable figures are hard to come by, with commissions often not publishing fees or, as is the case with Arizona and the numbers released today, not painting the full picture.
