Luke Rockhold is injured and out of his fight with Chris Weidman at UFC 230 in New York.

The news was broken by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto on Friday, although the injury was unspecified. The UFC are believed to be searching for a replacement in order to keep Weidman on the card. Up until now, Weidman vs. Rockhold was the co-main event of the card.

It’s certainly not the first issue to plague the UFC’s return to Madison Square Garden.

Until last week, the main event was still uncertain, with UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier being brought in to face Derrick Lewis. Prior to that, the much anticipated return of Nate Diaz was scrapped after his own opponent Dustin Poirier was forced to withdraw with injury.

Rockhold vs. Weidman was a rematch of a world title fight at UFC 194, where Rockhold defeated Weidman via TKO in the fourth round.
