Tonight at UFC 216, Tony Ferguson defeated Kevin Lee in the third round to claim the UFC interim lightweight championship.
It was an emphatic victory, with Ferguson’s trademark pace putting Lee — who was suffering from a staph infection — in a spot where he was unable to keep up. Eventually, Ferguson found his way and sunk in a triangle choke, which ended the contest.
