Last night in Atlanta, Israel Adesanya and Kelvin Gastelum went to war for 25 brutal minutes to the applause and appreciation of almost all mixed martial arts fans.

Indeed, UFC president Dana White went as far as to say he thought it was one of the best fights he’d ever seen. But while most were taking to their social media to applaud both Adesanya and Gastelum, there were a few naysayers amongst the bunch.

Case in point, Paulo Costa.

The Brazilian took to his social media after Adesanya won the interim world title via decision to share his apparent disapproval of Adesanya’s skills, before writing he hoped to be able to meet the New Zealander later for gold.

“Really this is the interim (fake) champ?” Costa wrote. “Hahah. No doubt this weight division has already been better than this shit. Enjoy this while you can man, I really hope that you take the real belt one day to meet me. Note: And I’m not the Gastelum.”
