Jessica Rose-Clark has been rewarded for UFC debut win against Bec Rawlings last week in Sydney, Australia, with a high profile booking against Paige VanZant, according to a report from MMAFighting.

Rose-Clark, 8-4-1 as a professional, earned a split decision victory against UFC veteran Rawlings in the c0-main event inside the Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, marking the biggest win of the 29-year-old Australian’s career.

Well, things are going to ramp up a bit further for her in her next bout as it has been announced that she will take on VanZant (7-3) in a flyweight bout on the UFC’s January 14th trip to St. Louis.

This will be former strawweight contender VanZant’s first bout at flyweight. A previously booked bout between her and Jessica Eye was nixed due to a back injury suffered by VanZant in training.

After beginning her UFC career with three successive wins, VanZant but was stopped by rear naked choke submission in two of her last three bouts, losses to Michelle Waterson and current champion Rose Namajunas.

VanZant had previously stated that her next bout would be for the women’s flyweight title, however this claim was dismissed by Dana White during the UFC 217 fight week in New York City.
