Bellator’s return to the United Kingdom just hit a snag.

Welterweight Michael ‘Venom’ Page has been forced to withdraw from the promotion’s return to London after suffering a knee injury in training. Bellator 179 is scheduled to take place next week on Friday, May 19. The Daily Telegraph first reported the news.

The Englishman was set to star in the co-main event slot against opponent Derek Anderson, and in his absence, Liam McGeary vs. Linton Vassell will now take that role. Dan Vinni vs. Alex Lohore will also be moving up to the main card.

Bellator 179 is headlined by Paul Daley and the debuting Rory MacDonald. The winner is expected to go on and face the winner of a welterweight title fight between Douglas Lima and Lorenz Larkin.

The adjusted main card for Bellator 179, which takes place in Wembley stadium, London, now looks as follows:

Welterweight Main Event: Paul Daley (39-14-2) vs. Rory MacDonald (18-4)

Light Heavyweight Feature Bout: Liam McGeary (12-1) vs. Linton Vassell (17-5)

Heavyweight Feature Bout: Cheick Kongo (26-10-2) vs. Augusto Sakai (9-0-1)

Welterweight Feature Bout: Dan Vinni (14-14) vs. Alex Lohore (10-1)
