Mackenzie Dern has signed with Paradigm Sports.

The news that Dern, #6 ranked UFC strawweight, longtime jiu-jitsu practitioner and oft-touted potential future stars for the UFC promotion, had made the move was announced earlier today by the management company. Dern was last seen defeating Nina Nunes in a performance of the night effort back in April.

“I’m excited for the next phase of my career and working with Paradigm,” Dern said in a press release. “I really feel that, as a team, we will reach my full potential as a fighter inside and outside of the cage!”

Dern’s BJJ skills make her an interesting proposition at 115-pounds, and realistically, there are few other women in the sport that can compete with her grappling credentials.

It’s those abilities that have Paradigm highly excited about the future.

Paradigm Sports Senior Vice President, Tim Simpson, stated: “We are thrilled to welcome Mackenzie into the Paradigm Sports family.” Paradigm Sports Senior Vice President, Tim Simpson said. “She is a phenomenal athlete and one with championship potential. On behalf of our whole team, it is an honour to partner with her and her family, and we look forward to helping her build upon the successful career she has already begun.”

Paradigm Sports represents a number of mixed martial arts’ biggest names, including Conor McGregor, Israel Adesanya, Michael Page and Cris Cyborg.
