Jorge Masvidal is no stranger to fighting in other people’s backyards and now he says that he wants the opportunity to do just that against Darren Till at the UFC’s card in the English capital in March.
Before his career as a professional fighter took off Florida native Masvidal was a keen street fighter and even appeared in videos alongside Kimbo Slice, where he defeated Kimbo’s protege Ray in a video still available to view online.
As such, ‘Gamebred’ has no qualms whatsoever about entering enemy territory and has asked for the opportunity to do just that against dangerous English striker Till.
@darrentill2 I hear you having the same probs I am trying to find someone to fight you in your backyard. I love fighting in other peoples backyards. I’m game if ufc can make it happen

“I hear you having the same probs I am trying to find someone to fight you in your backyard,” Masvidal wrote. “I love fighting in other people’s backyards. I’m game if UFC can make it happen.”
Masvidal hasn’t competed since a November 2017 defeat to Stephen Thompson inside Madison Square Garden, his second defeat on the trot following a split decision loss to Demian Maia the previous May. Prior to that pair of defeats, Masvidal won three straight against Donald Cerrone, Jake Ellenberger and Ross Pearson.
Till, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from the first and only loss of his career in a world title bout against welterweight champion Tyron Woodley but has so far not been officially tied to the March 16 card in London’s O2.
