SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh says ‘Let’s do this’ to an interesting proposal for an potential future Bellator Dublin card.

It was speculated during Bellator’s London event last weekend that any future Dublin card for the promotion should feature a selection of SBG fighters taking on the world or, as took place on Twitter on Wednesday, the ‘Pitbull’ brothers to be more specific.

“Saw @BellatorMMA @ScottCoker plans to hold shows in Ireland and people mentioned a SBG vs another team for an event, so let’s do a full card Pitbull Brothers vs SBG,” Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire, two-time Bellator featherweight champion, wrote Wednesday on Twitter.

Freire competes from the Pitbull Brothers gym in Brazil, which also hosts his older brother Patricky and Bellator 135-pound fighter Leandro Higo.

SBG Ireland has several members on the Bellator roster, including James Gallagher, Charlie Ward and Will Fleury.

Another fighter, Peter Queally, appears interested too. Queally is coming off the biggest win of his career in Russia recently, where he earned a first round TKO of the now 24-4 David Khachatryan, a fighter who had never been finished up until that point in his professional career.

Responding to Freire, the Waterford man didn’t mince his words.

Judging by the response on Twitter, it seems that all parties are interested in this concept.

Over to you, Mr. Coker.
