Kelvin Gastelum’s tour at 185-pounds continues, and it does so against the greatest middleweight of all time, Anderson Silva.
Gastelum had issued a challenge to Silva following his win over Vitor Belfort, and is set to return to Brazil for UFC 212, which takes place June 3.
“It’s a combination of a lot of things. (Silva) is a big name, he’s another legend, and he’s ranked above me,” Gastelum said at the post-fight press conference. “I want to keep moving up the rankings. I want a fight that will get me, that will eventually give me a title shot. If we wanna go and make it happen in June 3rd in Rio, I’d love for it to happen.”
