Jorge Masvidal’s left hand has shaken up the UFC welterweight division considerably.

The veteran fighter’s stunning second round knockout of Darren Till in last weekend’s UFC London main event has seen the American fighter rise to number five in the official rankings at 170-pounds, while Darren Till slips down to sixth position.

Questions remain as to what Masvidal’s next fight will be. He had said in the lead-up to last Saturday’s fight that a win, particularly a devastating one, should lead to him being the next title challenger for Kamaru Usman — a sentiment apparently shared by Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz.

Leon Edwards, of course, is aiming for a July bout with Masvidal though his new ranking of 10th position at 170 after his victory against Gunnar Nelson is unlikely to sound too appealing to the American.

But what of Nate Diaz, a fighter who isn’t currently even ranked in the division? According to a Twitter Q&A Masvidal did while flying out of London on Tuesday, ‘Gamebred’ indicated an interest in one day fighting the Stockton native.

As noted by Bloody Elbow, Masvidal stated that he’s either chasing a title bout or the highest profile bout possibly available to him.

Admittedly this is a little flimsy as of now but stranger things have happened. Remember, it was on Twitter where Masvidal got his booking against Darren Till.
