When he feels like it, Jon Jones can be an utter savage.

In the wake of comments made by Alexander Gustafsson — who recently had an impeccable performance against Glover Teixeira — where the Swede declared Jones as “the biggest enemy of all time,” Jones had remained quiet until late Wednesday evening, when he suddenly let off a stream of Tweets at his old foe, each more blunt that the last.

Following his win over Teixeira on Sunday, Gustafsson was asked about his feelings towards Jones at the post-fight press conference. His reply was less than complimentary.

“[Jones] the biggest enemy of all time, I don’t like him,” Gustafsson said. “I’ll give him that he’s the best fighter of all time. He’s the pound-for-pound best fighter in our division, everybody knows that, he’s never lost. He demolished everyone he fights. But as a person, as a champion — he’s not a champion in my eyes. He’s not a good person in my eyes.

“I always tell the guys that I hope DC wins, because I like the guy. He’s a worthy champion. That’s what I mean when I say that [Jones] is the biggest enemy of all time.”

Jones is scheduled to face off with his most infamous rival, Daniel Cormier, at UFC 214 in Anaheim, California on July 29. While at present Jimi Manuwa is expected to be the number one contender for whomever wins that battle, it seems as if Jones could consider to push for a rematch with Gustafsson — the man widely considered as the only person to ever have Jones in danger.
